This global platform explored diverse facets of inclusive, responsible, and sustainable tourism, emphasizing measurable sustainability and the role of the happiness quotient in tourism practices.
Key Highlights
Impact Speaker Session:
Our co-founders, Subrata Roy and Souvik Mukherjee, were honored to be invited as Impact Speakers by Prof. Dr. Hiram Ting. We presented on the Himalayan diaspora and the lives, traditions, and resilience of the inhabitants and natives of the Himalayas, sharing insights into their unique connection with sustainable tourism.Tangible contact with nature’s reality is too large a sacrifice for any part of society to make. There are real dangers involved. There are huge pitfalls if we drift apart from closeness and respect for the natural environment.
Collaborations & MOUs:
Walk The Himalayas signed multiple MOUs during the conference to:
Advance study and research on sustainable tourism in the Himalayas.
Facilitate international educational exchange programs, fostering cross-cultural learning and collaboration.
Our Commitment to Sustainability:
This conference reinforced our belief in the importance of preserving the natural and cultural heritage of the Himalayas while empowering local communities. Through these partnerships, we aim to deepen our impact by fostering responsible tourism practices and creating platforms for global academic and cultural exchange.
Looking Ahead:
Stay connected as we roll out exciting initiatives in collaboration with our global partners, inspired by the spirit of ICRTH2024.
